How to delete recorded music files and albums?

    Deleting recorded music files and albums.

    Please refer to the steps below to delete recorded music files and albums.

    A. Delete recorded music files

    The steps below are based on Windows Media Player 8.
    1. Start Windows Media Player.

    2. Click the Media Library tab.

    3. Right-click the music file to be deleted and click Delete from Library.

    4. Right-click the All Deleted Items folder and click Empty "Deleted Items".
    For Windows Media Player 7, it is displayed as Deleted Items.

    5. When the Are your sure you want to remove the items from the Media Library? dialog box appears, select the Remove music and video files permanently from your hard disk option and click Yes.
    For Windows Media Player 7, the Do you really want to delete the items from Media Library? dialog box appears. Select the Remove files from the hard disk drive permanently option and click Yes.

    B. Delete recorded albums

    The steps below are based on Windows Media Player 8.
    1. Start Windows Media Player.

    2. Click the Media Library tab.

    3. Click Audio -> Album to show the list of all kinds of music registered to the album.

    4. Select all music files registered to the album.

    5. Right-click the highlighted music files and click Delete from Library.

    6. The album registered to the library is deleted.
