How do I back up and restore data using the backup tool of OpenMG Jukebox?
To back up and restore data with the use of [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool], please refer to the following procedures.
A. Back up data
--Attention--
To back up data directly to CD-R/CD-RW using [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool], you will need a writing software application supporting packet write. In addition, to back up data directly to CD-R/CD-RW using the writing software program supporting packet write, you will need to format the media in advance.
* For the formatting procedure, please refer to the Help section of the writing software application.
If you use a writing software application that does not support packet write, save the data to a hard disk drive with [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool], and then back it up to CD-R/CD-RW from the hard disk drive.
--Procedure--
1) Click [Start], point to [Programs], [OpenMG Jukebox], and then click [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool]. [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool] starts.
2) Click the [Back up my data] option button, and then click [Next].
3) Click the [Next] button again.
4) Specify a storage device where you want to back up the data. To back up the data to a hard disk drive, click the [Hard disk] option button. You may also back up the data to removable device such as CD-R/CD-RW and Memory Stick by clicking the [Removable media] option button. Then, click the [Browse] button.
5) Specify a backup folder and click [OK].
6) Click the [Next] button.
7) Name the folder which you create a backup file in and click [Next (N)].
8) Click the [Start (S)] button.
9) Click [Close].
--Remarks--
If the writing software does not support packet write, you will need to back up the data saved to the hard disk drive to a CD-R/CD-RW using the writing software.
Now, the backup process is completed.
B. Restore the backup data
--Attention--
If you have backed up the data to a CD-R/CD-RW using the writing software that does not support packet write, copy the data that is backed up to a CD-R/CD-RW to the hard disk drive before you perform the restoring procedure.
--Procedure--
1) Click [Start], point to [Programs], [OpenMG Jukebox], and then click [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool]. [OpenMG Jukebox Backup Tool] starts.
2) Click the [Restore the backup data on my computer] option button, and then click [Next].
3) Click [Next (N)].
4) Click the [Browse] button.
5) Specify the saved data and click [OK].
6) Click [Next (N)].
7) Click [Next (N)] again.
8) Specify the drive to which you want to restore the backup data, and click [Next (N)].
9) Click [Next (N)].
10) Connect your computer to the Internet, and then click [Next (N)].
11) Click the [Start] button.
12) Click [Close].
Now, the restoration of the backup data is completed.
