When updating Windows Vista, please use Windows Activation for activating
There are 3 methods for activating
■ Activate Windows online
■ Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service
■ Use the automated phone system
 

■ ■ Active Windows online

1. Click the Start button, right click Computer, and select Properties.
2. In Windows activation, click ** day(s) to activate. Activate Windows now

3. After displaying User Account Control message, click the Continue button.

4. If not displaying User Account Control message, please refer to the following steps.  
5. Click Activate Windows online now.

6. Activating Windows message appears. The activation is being carried out.

7. Click the Close button

8. Confirm that Windows has been activated.

■ Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service

1. Click Start button, right click Computer , select Properties
2. At Windows activation, click ** day(s) to activate. Activate Windows now.

3. After displaying User Account Control message, click Continue button.

6. Click Show me other ways to activate.

8. At Click the nearest location, click , select any area, and click the Next button. 

9. Follow the instructions appear in the window.

■ Use the automated phone system

1. Click the Start button, right click Computer, and select Properties. 
2. At Windows activation, click ** days to activate. Activate Windows now.”

8. First get a confirmation ID, call;
and then follow phone system instructions to enter the installation ID;
and type the confirmation ID the phone system gives you.

9. Follow the instructions appear in the window.
