  • VPL-VW320
  • VPL-VW520

Update from v2.203:
– Further improvements of HDR-related functionality
– Adds ‘HDR Contrast’ function to Picture Menu (when viewing HDR content) allowing user to adjust the average screen brigtness
– Add automatic selection of BT2020 color space when receiving such content
– Adds “HDR” indicator in the Information Menu when HDR content is being received.

Updating the System Software
Update from v.2.202 or later :
– Power off the projector.
– Make sure no other USB device is connected to the projector before starting the update.
– Insert the USB storage device containing the update folder into USB port of the projector.
– Power on the projector. The update process starts automatically.
– When the update is finished, the projector will turn off.
– When the update is finished, the projector will turn off.

Update from v.2.003 or earlier:
Please read installation instructions before downloading.
CAUTION: During the update process, do not remove the USB device or turn off the projector.

1. Power off the projector.
2. Make sure no other USB device is connected to the projector before starting the update.
3. Insert the USB storage device containing the update folder into USB port of the projector.
4. Power on the projector.
5. Update process starts automatically for approximately 5 minutes. During the update, the ON/STANDBY indicator blinks green. Then, it blinks amber. It takes about 5 minutes to update.
6. Power on the projector.
7. Note: After the update, initial power on takes about 15 minutes to light a lamp. During this period, ON/STANDBY indicator blinks green. During the updating process, DO NOT unplug/power off the projector. Once the update is finished, refer to step 8.
8. (Only for VPL-VW320ES) After the above step, you will get an image from the projector.
(Only for VPL-VW520ES) After the above step, WARNING indicator continues to blink red 3 times. While blinking, wait for 1 minute and power on the projector and you will get an image from the projector.
