What is Charms in Windows 8?
The Charms, or the Charms bar refers to an opaque overlay that appears on the right side of the screen.
It can be activated by moving the cursor to the top or bottom right corner of your computer screen. Another option to access it is by using the <windows + C> keys.
It is a system wide bar with a total of 5 buttons: Search, Share, Start, Devices and Settings.
There is also a notification panel located on the bottom left side of the screen which displays the Current Time, Day, Date, Internet Connection and Battery Power Status.
