What is JEITA measuring standard?

    Measuring conditions based on JEITA Measuring Methods for Battery Operating Time (Ver.1.0).


    JEITA stands for Japan Electronic Information Technology Association (Ver 1.0).

    JEITA measuring standard is based on the following conditions.

    Settings:
    1.  Screen saver: None.
    2.  Volume control: Mute.
    3.  Switch off the Wireless LAN.
    4.  Complete the initialsettings of Norton AntiVirus.
    5.  Turn-off the Windows automatic updates.
    6.  Set up the Power Options settings in the Control Panel as below:
    *  Power Schemes: VAIO Ultimate Battery

    JEITA Measuring Method A
    - Power Schemes

    1. Disable Turn off monitor option.
    2. Disable System Standby option.
    3. Disable System Hibernates option.

    -  VAIO Power Management

    1.  Set LCD Brightness - Running on batteries to Level 2.
    2.  Click Advance and click VAIO Power Management.
    3.  Unslect Automatically hibernates when computer goes into a low-power state.

    JEITA Measuring Method B
    - Power Schemes

    1. Disable Turn off monitor option.
    2. Disable System Standby option.
    3. Disable System Hibernates option.

    -  Alarms

    1.  Click Alarms and unselect Activate critical battery when power level reaches in Critical battery alarm settings.

    -  VAIO Power Management

    1.  Set LCD Brightness - Running on batteries to Level 1.
