Regarding Safety of Battery Packs for Sony’s Personal Computer VAIO

Thank you very much for using Sony products.

Today, Sony made an announcement regarding “Sony to Initiate Global Replacement Program for Notebook Computer Battery Packs.”

VAIO PCs implement various safety measures in the system configuration which  address the issue of overheating and flames.

However, VAIO management is currently assessing the matter and whether to participate in this voluntary replacement program, as addressing customers’ concern is foremost in our minds.
