Updated on 25 October 2004 - Important Notice to Sony VAIO Personal Computer Owners who have installed Microsoft Windows® Security Updates (MS04-32).

Sony had identified that after installing of Microsoft Windows® Security Updates (MS04-32) on Sony VAIO computers, all OpenMG related software may not operate as originally intended.

* Below is a list of VAIO software programs which are affected, after installation of Microsoft Windows® Security Updates (MS04-32):

- SonicStage
- OpenMG Jukebox

Important:

- All OpenMG-related applications on Windows® 2000, Windows® XP Home/Professional, Windows® MCE VAIO computer are affected.
- All OpenMG-related applications on Windows® XP Home/Professional with Service Pack 2 installed are not affected.

Sony has been investigating the cause of this problem as well as working on countermeasures in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation. A countermeasure program to remedy this situation is now available at Microsoft's website. For more detailed information, please click here.
