Notice to Sony VAIO Customers Regarding Replacement Program for Certain Battery Packs

Dear Sony Valued Customer,

Sony recently announced that it would initiate a global replacement program for certain lithium ion notebook computer battery packs containing battery cells manufactured by the company to address the concerns of consumers and customers over the recent over-heating incidents. 

The Sony VAIO group will participate and is working to finalize this voluntary replacement program for the VAIO notebook.  We will announce details of the program in the near future.

We at Sony understand that many consumers have been concerned by the recent over-heating incidents.  We continuously strive to provide customers with fine quality products and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.  Thank you very much for using Sony products.
