Why does Outlook Express start automatically when logging into Windows after installing Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)?
Outlook Express starts automatically when logging into Windows after Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) is installed.
Please download the latest BIOS version to resolve the symptom.
In the Downloads section, please select Notebook and proceed with the steps below:
1. Move the cursor to the relevant Notebook Series and click the model of the VAIO computer.
2. Locate BIOS Upgrade Program and proceed as per instructions on the screen.
Important:
- Before proceeding with the upgrade, disconnect all external hardware devices, including PC Cards, except for the docking station.
- To upgrade the BIOS, log in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
Note:
During the process of BIOS updating, please ensure the following:
1. Do not switch off the computer.
2. Do not allow the computer to go into Standby or Hibernation mode.
3. Do not start any other programs.
4. Do not connect any other peripherals to the computer.
