How do I create a Local Account in Windows 8?

A Local account will allow multiple users to log into the same computer with separate files and settings but still have access to the same application that is installed in your computer.

1. Launch Charms by placing the cursor to the top right hand or bottom left hand corner.
2. Select Settings.
   
3. Select PC settings.
   
4. Select Users.
   
5. Select Add a user.
   
6. Select Sign in without a Microsoft account.
   
7. Select Local account.
   
8. Input the following:
   • User Name
   • Password
   • Reenter password
   • Password hint  
     
9. Select Next.
    
10. Select Finish.
     
11. The new local account is now setup. Please restart the computer in order to log in.
