Windows Vista Compatibility Announcement For Personal Audio Devices

Because of the release of the new OS Windows Vista from Microsoft Corporation on January 30^th, 2007, we would like to announce a list of our Personal Audio devices which will be compatible with it.

Also, we will update the list of the compatible devices and the methods, and upload to this support page. Therefore, please check the contents of them in the support page.

Compatible products

• Network Walkman
• IC Recorder
• Hi-MD Walkman
• CD Walkman　
• System Stereo
• Radio Cassette

We are going to release next versions of the application software; SonicStage CP, SonicStage and Digital Voice Editor/Sony Player Plug-in Windows Media Player (Version: TBD). The download service will start from the mid-February for SonicStage CP (SonicStage Ver4.3), and early-June for Digital Voice Editor Ver.3.1/Sony Player Plug-in Windows Media Player (Version: TBD). The downloads will be made available on this website.

Network Walkman

*　Install SonicStage Ver.4.3 to the computer to use the device.

Note: CONNECT Player is not compatible with Windows Vista. To use Walkman A Series with Windows Vista, download SonicStage Ver. 4.3.

IC Recorder

* Install Digital Voice Editor Ver.3.1 to the computer to use the device.

^ ICD-U50/U60/U70 are not compatible with Digital Voice Editor. Install Sony Player Plug-in Windows Media Player (Version: TBD) to the computer to use the device.

Hi-MD Walkman

* Install SonicStage Ver.4.3 to the computer to use the device.

*Install the driver. Operation method will be uploaded to the customer support page later when SonicStage Ver.4.3 download service will be ready.

Note: MD Simple Burner is not compatible with Windows Vista. Install SonicStage Ver.4.3 to the computer to use the device.

Remarks
We do not guarantee operations on Windows Vista Operating System that is an upgrade from the the pre-installed Operating System .

* For VAIO Windows Vista Compatible PC, if upgrade is performed with the supplement disk, the compatibility will be guaranteed.

Supported editions are:

* 64 bit version is not supported.
