How to check which Bluetooth codec is being used to connect devices, such as smartphones

You can check which codec is being used by the smartphone using the Sony | Sound Connect (formerly Sony | Headphones Connect) app.
On the Sony | Sound Connect Dashboard, check the display of codec below the model name.
