How to adjust the tapping and right click zone areas in Windows 8 and 8.1.

    Follow these steps to adjust the tapping and right click zone areas.

    IMPORTANT: Before beginning this procedure, download and install all driver, system and application updates available for your computer.

    1. Press the Windows Logo + X key combination on the keyboard and, from the list, click Control Panel.

      NOTES: Because the Control Panel is a traditional Windows Desktop application, if you were not already there, the interface will change to the Desktop and the Control Panel window will open.

    2. In the Control Panel window, click Hardware and Sound.
    3. In the Hardware and Sound screen, under Devices and Printers, click Mouse.
    4. In the Mouse Properties window, click the Device Settings tab.
    5. On the Device Settings tab, click the Settings button.

    6. In the Properties of Synaptics ClickPad window:
      • For Right Button Zone:
        1. Scroll to and double-click Buttons.
        2. Under Buttons, double-click Right Button Zone.
        3. Adjust the right-click zone as desired, and then click Close.
      • For Tapping Zones:
        1. Scroll to and double-click Tapping.
        2. In the Tapping window, adjust the tapping zones as desired, and then click Close.
