    Joining unallocated spaces of the same disk can be extended by the System Management of Computer Management in Windows Vista.

    Please refer to the following operation steps.
    •To extend the basic volume, it is necessary to use those space have not been partitioned or to format it through the NTFS file system ahead.  
    •If there is no Boot Partition or system Partition contained in disk, you can extend the disk’s volume except the Boot volume or system disk but the disk will become an active one.
     
    1.Click the Start button, right-click Computer, and then click Manage.


    2.After appearing the User Account Control message, click the Continue button.

    3.If the User Account Control message does not appear, please take the following steps for reference.
    4.Double click Storage, and then click Disk Management.


    5.Click any disk you want to extend, and then click Extend Volume.
    *Here, take Disk C as an example.
    6.Click the Next button
    7.Type any size you want to set, and then click the Next button.
    8.Click the Finish button.
    Operations finish.
